Union create impressive hype video for U.S. Open Cup final

While trying their best to sell tickets to see a team that doesn't seem to know how to win at home, the Philadelphia Union front office staff has taken some time to create a "hype video" of their own ahead of Wednesday night's U.S. Open Cup final against Sporting Kansas City at PPL Park (7 p.m. -- ESPN2).

The Eagles are the Philly gold standard when it comes to these things, which are created to fire people up and hopefully go viral on social media (retweets welcome!). But the Union's effort above is pretty impressive, as well.

The twist in the Union version is the open, where instead of going positive and "rah rah!", Sly Stallone's voice is heard over devastating images from last year's U.S. Open Cup final, a loss to Seattle at PPL Park. The "Unfinished Business" mantra serves as the transition to Aerosmith's "Dream On," which may be an oft-used song in these things -- but for a good reason.

It's hard not to get excited for Wednesday night's final, especially if you've slogged through a dozen meaningless home matches this season. And if you have never seen a Union match in person, you could do much, much worse than making your PPL Park debut Wednesday night. It should be quite a scene.

We'll have more on the match here before Wednesday's first kick. In the meantime, Rocky and Steven Tyler are here to get you hyped up.
