NBC Sports Philadelphia launched on Oct. 1, 1997 as Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.

NBC Sports Philadelphia provides in-depth coverage of professional sports teams in Philadelphia and the surrounding area, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Villanova Wildcats, Temple Owls, Drexel Dragons, La Salle Explorers, St. Joseph’s Hawks, Penn Quakers, Penn State Nittany Lions, Philadelphia Wings, and Philadelphia Union.

NBC Sports Philadelphia broadcasts a majority of Phillies, Flyers and 76ers games each season, in addition to pregame, in-game, and postgame shows for every Eagles game. Our robust broadcast lineup includes daily sports talk shows, including a our morning show, Sportsnet Central, and a simulcast of “The Best Show Ever?” from our partners at 97.5 The Fanatic.

At NBC Sports Philadelphia, we are the voice of the Philly sports fan. By providing live programming, exclusive reporting, in-depth analysis and up-to-the-minute news and highlights, our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage around the teams you care about most.

Our history

NBC Sports Philadelphia launched on Oct. 1, 1997 as Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia. Since its inception, CSN and NBCSP have been the broadcast home of Phillies, Flyers and Sixers games. The network is owned by Comcast NBCUniversal. 

In 2017, the network rebranded to NBC Sports Philadelphia along with the other NBCUniversal-owned regional sports networks.

What do we offer our audience?

Our coverage of Phillies baseball includes live game broadcasts, Phillies Pregame Live, Phillies Postgame Live and the Phillies Talk podcast. Tom McCarthy, John Kruk, Ruben Amaro Jr., Ben Davis, and Cole Hamels lead our broadcast team, while Michael Barkann, Ricky Botallico, Jim Salisbury and Cole Weintraub provide further coverage. 

Our coverage of Eagles football includes Eagles Pregame Live, In-Game Live, and Postgame Live. Our daily weeknight football show, Birds Huddle, provides coverage of the team year-round. The Eagle Eye podcast with Reuben Frank and Dave Zangaro releases new episodes three times per week during the NFL season and two times a week throughout the offseason. 

NBC Sports Philadelphia is home to Sixers basketball. Kate Scott and Alaa Abdelnaby have the local call of Sixers games, with Sixers Pregame Live and Postgame Live hosted by Amy Fadool, Marc Jackson, and Jim Lynam. 

Our coverage of Flyers hockey includes live game broadcasts, with Jim Jackson on the play-by-play call and Brian Boucher and Scott Hartnell on the color commentary. Flyers Pregame Live and Flyers Postgame Live are hosted by Ashlyn Sullivan, featuring Al Morganti and Hartnell. Jordan Hall provides comprehensive digital coverage of the team.
