Eagles offensive tackle Winston Justice is scheduled to undergo routine arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to clean out his left knee.
A high-ranking team source scoffed at a published report that said Justices injury could be very serious or possibly career-threatening, saying theres absolutely no reason to believe thats the case.
Justice is in Birmingham, Ala., where noted knee specialist James Andrews is scheduled to perform what the team source called a clean-out on his knee, which bothered him throughout the second half of this past season.

The source said that although it is conceivable that Justices injury will turn out to be more serious than the team believes, the teams medical staff does not anticipate that being the case. He said he expects Justice to recover quickly and be 100 percent healthy for offseason workoutsif there is a CBA agreement that allows such practice sessions.
The source said everything the team knows about Justices injury indicates that he will not need microfracture surgery, which would likely force him to miss the 2011 seasonif there is one and jeopardize his career.
Left tackle Jason Peters underwent a similar scope in early October, missed just two games, and was back in the starting lineup by Nov. 7. He was picked to the Pro Bowl team, although he didnt play.
Justice missed wins over the Cowboys and Giants in December before returning to action. King Dunlap, who filled in for Peters during his injury, started for Justice in those games and then replaced Justice in the second half of the playoff loss to the Packers.
