It's become challenging to find anything fun about the Phillies these days. They are playing bad baseball. They've been playing bad baseball for months now. They are a bad baseball team.
So when the going gets straight crappy, the fanbase attempts to find something else to talk about. Like closed door meetings or radio interviews by one legend ripping another. Or scouts from around the league pointing out how atrocious the Phillies farm system is.
Here's a sampling of tweets in my timeline today that seem to sum up the feelings in Philadelphia these days. Some serious, some less so.

They do love to pile on. RT @975TheFanatic Stark: I had two scouts call me unsolicited today to tell me how bad the Phillies farm system is.

If there is a Phillies fire sale, the man pulling the trigger doesn't know how to acquire real young talent. He'll be fleeced. #Trackrecord

And perhaps my favorite from a private account I follow:
listening to people talk about the phillies is possibly even more annoying than watching them
I'll hang up and listen.
The Phillies play again tonight down in DC if you like pain: RHP A.J. Burnett (3-4, 3.79) vs. RHP Stephen Strasburg (4-4, 3.15).
