Carson Wentz has not requested a trade from the Eagles, but Howie Roseman has been fielding calls from interested teams, according to a report from NFL Network.
A story by Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo on NFL.com quoting unnamed sources says, “The Eagles are not in a hurry to trade Wentz and in fact as of now intend for him to return for 2021.”

The fact that Roseman is even taking calls from other teams about Wentz is notable because it indicates that there are circumstances where the Eagles would be willing to trade their 28-year-old quarterback, depending on the return.
Roseman loves to make trades and will almost always listen to offers, but it’s safe to say he wouldn’t have taken calls about Wentz’s availability a year ago.
And the fact that Wentz has not formally requested a trade is also notable because that would seem to indicate that more than a month after the end of the season, he’s still unsure whether or not he wants to be in Philadelphia.
According to the story, simply firing Doug Pederson was not enough to “quell all of Wentz’s concerns” about the franchise and indicated that Wentz’s relationship with the Eagles has been “strained” over the past year.

That points to Howie Roseman and/or Jeff Lurie and presumably the organization’s decision to draft Jalen Hurts in the second round last year. It was Hurts who replaced a struggling Wentz 11 1/2 games into this past season.
The Eagles are a little more than a month away from the first significant date in the offseason. Wentz is due a $10 million bonus on March 19, and although they could certainly trade him after paying him that bonus - even as late as training camp, like Sam Bradford - there would certainly be value in making a decision on Wentz’s future before they have to pay him the $10 million.
